For St. Paul, reaching Rome meant being able to preach to the whole world. Since his martyrdom “outside the walls” (circa 67), Rome is forever associated with the Apostle of the Gentiles.

The Pauline Family in the US announces a pilgrimage in honor of St. Paul: A week in Rome, preceded by Milan, northern Italy (birthplace of the Pauline Family), Assisi and Orvieto, and followed up with an optional visit to Malta. Daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and Scripture study.  For info:  http://paulinelaity.blogspot.com/2008/10/brochure-for-albarome-pilgrimage-year.html

A parish in Mexico has put together a clever online trivia-type game based on the life of St. Paul. If you know too much about St. Paul, you won’t have much fun, so … make a deliberate mistake or two just to experience the swords and shipwreck! Then later I’ll see you in the Winners’ Circle.

I’ve finally listed the talks I’m giving for the Pauline Year. I still have openings and would love to come to your parish or organization to share insights about St. Paul. Print the list and give it to your pastor or adult education director!
